AI Video Budget Planner 2026

Set a monthly budget, production volume, clip length and retry rate. The planner estimates which plans can support the workload when official output rates are clear — and labels budget-only matches when they are not.

Critical rule: this planner never treats credits from different providers as equivalent. A Runway credit, Kling credit and Pika credit are different proprietary units. Capacity calculations are performed separately inside each provider's own system.

How to read the result: Fits workload means a published rate lets us estimate the required credits and a plan under your budget covers them. Budget fit only means the plan price fits but the provider says credit burn varies by workflow/model, so exact capacity is not inferred. Over budget means the cheapest relevant paid plan exceeds the budget or the estimated workload needs a more expensive tier.

What is actually being compared?

The planner separates two different buying questions. First: can I afford the plan? Second: does the published usage model indicate that plan can cover my workload? Those questions are not always answerable with the same precision.

Why retries change the plan you need

If you need 20 approved clips and average three attempts per approved clip, you are budgeting for roughly 60 generations. A plan that looks sufficient when you count only final clips can fail quickly once iteration is included. This is why the planner defaults to a retry multiplier instead of assuming every generation is usable.

Where the planner refuses to fake precision

HeyGen explicitly says credit consumption varies by model, duration and complexity. InVideo AI likewise exposes a shared credit system across multiple models and workflows. Fliki combines several generation paths. For those tools, the planner compares your budget with current plan prices but does not invent a universal “clips per month” figure.

FAQ

Can I use the cheapest plan for commercial client work?

Not automatically. Budget fit and commercial licensing are separate. Use the Commercial Use Rights Checker before monetized or client production.

Why not convert every platform into dollars per clip?

Because doing so would create false precision. Subscription price, credit allocation and model burn rates are platform-specific, and some tools do not publish a single universal per-output rate.
