Elai cancellation vs refund: the difference
Cancellation stops or schedules the end of future renewal. It does not automatically mean the current payment is returned.

Cancellation does not reverse an existing renewal
Elai's current automatic-renewal terms say cancelling through My Profile → Manage Subscription → Cancel Subscription stops future renewals only. A renewal that already occurred before cancellation is not reversed by the cancellation itself.
The current Elai refund rule
The Terms of Service currently in force, last updated March 13, 2026, state that all fees for Paid Services—including initial fees and subsequent automatic-renewal fees—are non-refundable. They also say unused purchased minutes are forfeited at the end of the applicable billing cycle and cannot be carried forward or refunded.
Why you may still see an older 15-day rule
Elai still publishes a separate Prior Terms & Conditions page that describes a historical 15-day refund request window. That page is explicitly labeled as prior terms. For a purchase made under the current service, the current Terms of Service are the relevant first-party policy, so buyers should not rely on the historical 15-day language unless Elai confirms it applies to their specific purchase.
What happens to your videos after cancellation
Elai's current pricing FAQ says rendered projects remain accessible for watching, sharing and downloading for one year after plan cancellation. Editing and re-rendering are no longer available once the paid subscription ends. This makes exporting any source assets or final deliverables you need a sensible pre-cancellation step.
