Cancellation stops or schedules the end of future renewal. It does not automatically mean the current payment is returned.

Cancellation stops the next renewal, not the current term
Hypernatural's current support guide says a cancelled plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. To avoid the next renewal charge, it recommends cancelling at least one day before the renewal date. Cancelling after renewal normally affects the following billing period rather than reversing the renewal that just occurred.
Hypernatural’s refund rule
Hypernatural says it does not generally issue refunds for subscription payments. Its support documentation explicitly says subscriptions are automatically billed and non-refundable even if they were not actively used, except where required by law or provided in the Terms of Service. The Terms likewise say there is no prorated refund for the current paid period.
Credits after cancellation
Subscription credits remain usable only until the current billing period ends, then expire. Purchased add-on credits do not expire, but Hypernatural requires an active paid subscription to use them; ending the subscription can therefore leave add-on credits parked but temporarily unusable. Hypernatural says unused subscription credits and add-on credits are not refundable unless law or its Terms provide otherwise.
Web vs Apple / Google subscriptions
The current support flow depends on where the subscription was purchased. Web subscriptions are managed through Hypernatural's Profile & Subscriptions area. Apple App Store and Google Play subscriptions must be cancelled through the corresponding app-store settings; Hypernatural cannot directly cancel those store-managed subscriptions.
A small first-party wording mismatch
Hypernatural's current support article gives the in-account Manage Plan flow for web cancellation, while its Terms still contain older contact-email wording for ending recurring service.
