OpusClip Cancellation & Refund Policy 2026: Auto-Renewal, Refunds & Credits
What happens when you cancel OpusClip, when money is normally not refunded, and why project-credit refunds are a separate rule.
See refund and cancellation rules for all 9 tools →
Quick answer: OpusClip lets web subscribers cancel from account/subscription settings. Its Terms say a cancelled paid subscription remains usable until the end of the current term, but the current subscription fee is not prorated and fees already paid are generally not refunded unless an exception in the agreement applies.
Cancellation vs refund: two different actions
| Question | Current OpusClip rule |
|---|---|
| Can you cancel a paid web subscription? | Yes, through the subscription/account settings. |
| When does cancellation take effect? | The recurring subscription stops after the current paid term. |
| Do you receive a prorated refund? | No. The Terms explicitly say the current subscription period is not prorated. |
| Are fees already paid normally refunded? | No, except where the agreement or applicable law provides otherwise. |
| Can you pause instead? | OpusClip's current help documentation says pausing is not available; cancel and resubscribe later instead. |
Do not confuse a project-credit refund with a subscription refund
OpusClip has a separate project refund feature for Pro users. If no clip from that project has been downloaded, the project can currently be refunded for up to 14 days after the initial upload and the processing credits are returned to the account. That is a credit reversal, not a cash refund of your subscription.
Deleting a project is different again: OpusClip says credits already allocated or used on a deleted project are not automatically returned.
What happens to unused credits after cancellation?
OpusClip's current help pages are not perfectly consistent here. One billing/credit article says remaining credits expire at the end of the current billing cycle after cancellation, while the newer credits guide says remaining credits keep their original expiration date even when that date falls after the billing cycle.
What if you subscribed on iPhone?
If the subscription was purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system, OpusClip says Apple handles subscription management and refund requests. The OpusClip web refund flow does not control those Apple transactions.
What about a free trial?
OpusClip's current pricing advertises free trials without a credit card for public self-serve plans. Its Terms also say that if a paid-service trial is cancelled before the trial ends but a charge is made inadvertently, the user should contact OpusClip.
