Murf cancellation vs refund: the difference
Cancellation stops or schedules the end of future renewal. It does not automatically mean the current payment is returned.

Murf’s 24-hour + under-10-minute rule
Murf's Terms of Service state that payments for subscriptions or one-time packs are not eligible for refund if the purchase was made more than 24 hours ago or the account has used more than 10 minutes of text-to-speech conversion. If the purchase is within 24 hours and usage is below 10 minutes, Murf directs users to request a refund through support.
Cancellation timing
Cancelling a Murf plan stops the next renewal. The plan remains active until the current billing period ends, so cancellation is not the same thing as an immediate termination or cash refund. Murf recommends cancelling at least a day before renewal to avoid an unplanned charge.
What happens to VGT, downloads and projects
Murf says Voice Generation Time, transcription time, rendering/download access and other premium features remain available only until the end of the current billing cycle. After cancellation becomes effective, unused plan VGT—including eligible carry-forward VGT—is lost. Projects remain in the workspace, but free-workspace project limits can lock them from editing until the user upgrades again.
Pause is different from cancel
Murf also offers a temporary pause flow in some subscription contexts. A pause is not a cancellation: billing is suspended for the pause period and can automatically resume. If the goal is to stop future renewal entirely, use cancellation rather than assuming a pause has ended the subscription.
