Quick answer: FlexClip's current plan-benefit documentation lists 4K Ultra HD downloads on the Business plan. The Help Center also notes that exporting a 4K project does not create missing source detail: if your source images and videos are only 1080p or lower, the original resolution quality remains limited by those assets.

Does 4K export improve 1080p source footage?

Not in the way many buyers expect. FlexClip says the 4K option requires 4K-quality images and videos to preserve genuine 4K detail. Exporting a lower-resolution source inside a 4K container does not recreate detail that was never present.

What export settings are available?

FlexClip's current download guide lists MP4 video export with resolution choices including 480p, 720p, 1080p and 4K, plus frame-rate choices from 24fps through 60fps and quality options. Availability still depends on the plan and project.

Do AI credits unlock 4K editor export?

No. FlexClip's AI-credit documentation explicitly says buying AI credits alone does not unlock 1080p/4K exports in the full editor. AI credits pay for AI-tool usage; Video Editor plans control premium editing/export capabilities.

Should you buy Business just for 4K?

Only if your delivery requirement truly needs it. For most social posts, tutorials and standard YouTube workflows, 1080p can be sufficient. Business becomes more defensible when clients request 4K, your source assets are actually 4K, or you also need the Business-level stock/storage allowances.

Practical pre-purchase test

  1. Check the native resolution of your camera, screen capture and product assets.
  2. Create one representative project on Free.
  3. Decide whether 1080p is enough for the actual publishing channel.
  4. If 4K is contractual or visibly necessary, compare Business against your monthly output volume.
