FlexClip Watermark 2026: When It Appears and How to Remove It
The practical answer to whether FlexClip adds a watermark, when paid users can still see one, and how to distinguish a real watermark from a filename overlay.

Quick answer: current FlexClip documentation says Free-plan exports can carry a watermark, while Plus removes the FlexClip watermark when the project stays within Plus limits and Business lists no FlexClip watermark. A separate confusion can occur when a media player shows “made with flexclip” as part of the filename rather than as an embedded watermark.

Does Plus remove the watermark?
FlexClip's current plan-benefit page lists “No FlexClip watermark (within Plus plan limits)” for Plus. That wording matters: if a project uses elements or capabilities outside the Plus allowance, FlexClip's watermark help article says the export can still be watermarked. The Export screen should show the limit causing the issue.
Does Business remove the watermark?
The Business plan is currently listed with no FlexClip watermark and 4K export. It is the clearer fit when you routinely need the highest editor export tier or exceed Plus-level project constraints.
What about the Free plan?
Do not assume “free online editor” means watermark-free final business output. FlexClip's Help Center specifically lists the Free plan as a common reason a watermark appears. Free remains useful for testing the workflow before committing.
The filename issue on paid plans
FlexClip published a separate clarification in June 2026: some computer video players display the file name over playback. The phrase “made with flexclip” may therefore appear visually even when it is not part of the video. Before contacting support, inspect the video in another player or rename the file and replay it.
Best buyer decision
If watermark-free output is a hard requirement, validate your exact project on Free, then compare Plus against Business based on export resolution and project limits. If you need commercial production too, also read the commercial-use rules because removing a watermark and having commercial rights are separate questions.
