Quick verdict: FlexClip AI credits are not a single bucket with one expiry rule. Their validity depends on whether they came from an editor subscription, an AI Credits subscription or a one-time package. That distinction matters for budgeting and for avoiding stranded credits.

What uses FlexClip AI credits?

FlexClip says AI credits power features such as AI Video Generator, Text-to-Speech, AI image editing, AI music generation and other AI functions. The exact number consumed depends on the task, model, length or size, and the interface shows an estimate before generation.

Three types of AI credits

Credit sourceHow issuedValidity

Included credits on editor plans

Current Video Editor Plan Benefits documentation lists 300 AI credits bonus per month on Plus and 800 per month on Business. These figures should be rechecked before buying because plan allowances can change.

Do credits unlock 1080p or 4K editor export?

No. FlexClip explicitly states that standalone AI Credits plans do not grant the same premium editor workflow. You can use AI tools and download AI-generated outputs, but premium editor export and broader editor resources require a Video Editor plan.

How to budget credits

  1. Pick the AI features you actually use.
  2. Record the displayed pre-generation credit estimate for each workflow.
  3. Multiply by expected monthly attempts, including reasonable retries.
  4. Compare that demand with the credits included in your editor plan.
  5. Only then decide whether a separate AI Credits product is economically necessary.

Do FlexClip credits roll over?

Not all of them. Editor-subscription credits do not roll over into the next cycle. Standalone subscription credits have their own validity window. One-time credits are the longest-lived category in current documentation.

Can AI credits be refunded?

FlexClip's Help Center says AI-credit packages and AI-credit subscriptions are non-refundable digital products, including renewals. This makes pre-purchase budgeting more important.

Credits verdict

The cheapest strategy is not automatically the plan with the most credits. It is the plan where your expected monthly generation demand fits with the least expired capacity and without forcing you to buy editor features you do not need.
